Game 2 Final! Craven upsets #1 Dickinson 10-1

The #4 Craven Panthers continued their Cinderella run, defeating number one seed Dickinson 10-1. Freshman Rusty Haswell fired 5 shutout innings on the mound, only allowing 1 hit while also contributing at the plate with a 2-for-4 day.

Craven will face off with #2 Robert Morris at 10 AM tomorrow morning for a spot in the championship game. Dickinson will look to stay alive against UW – Stevens Point afterwards at 1 PM.

Game 1 Final! RMU wins 6-4

#2 Robert Morris opens up the NCBA DIII World Series with a 6-4 win over #3 UW – Stevens Point! Nate Schmid led the Colonials offense going 2-3 with 2 RBIs.

RMU is back in action in the winners bracket at 10 AM tomorrow morning. UW – Stevens Point will look to keep their season alive with a win tomorrow at 1 PM.

NEW NUMBER ONE: After a thrilling run through the District I Playoffs which included an extra inning walk off, Dickinson jumps from No. 7 to become the new number one team! With a lineup led by senior captain and first baseman Colin Williams and a strong starting rotation of  Derek Chibbaro and Harry Weiss, the Red Devils will look to stay on top in Butler this weekend.

RANKINGS SHAKEUP: Once the dust settled from the District Playoffs, the Nos. 2-4 spots saw some brand new faces.

Robert Morris debuts in the rankings at No. 2 after knocking off three top ten teams in their run through the District III Playoffs. Led by senior captain Joey Asvestas and shortstop Caden Smith, the hometown Colonials will look to take advantage of playing in their own backyard this weekend.

UW – Stevens Point also makes their 2025 rankings debut at No. 3 after a wild run through the loser’s bracket to take home the District IV title. The Dawgs will look to rely on starting pitcher Lucas O’Brien who carried them through the Playoffs with two dominating complete game performances.

Craven CC will look to complete their Cinderella run as they come in at No. 4 in the Week 25 Rankings. The Panthers also knocked off three top ten teams in their stunning run through the District II Playoffs as a four seed. Junior utilityman Kyle Criner will look to set the tone for the Panthers lineup after leading the team in runs scored and stolen bases during their Playoff run.

WORLD SERIES TICKETS NOW ON SALE!

All fans interested in attending the 2025 NCBA DIII World Series will need to purchase online tickets prior to arrival.  No worries, we still offer day passes and full tournament passes through the online ticketing platform.  Should you arrive at the entry gate without an online ticket, you will be directed to this very online ticketing platform as there will be NO ON-SITE TICKET SALES.  These new procedures should help with expediting entry into the complex for all spectators.

2025 NCBA WORLD SERIES BRACKET RELEASED

After a thrilling weekend of District Playoffs, the four Division III District Champions will travel to Butler, PA with the opportunity to take home a World Series championship! The official 2025 NCBA Division III World Series bracket has been released and can be viewed HERE.

District Playoffs Day 2 Recap

District I: In an extra inning thriller, Dickinson tied the score with two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and then punched their ticket to the championship game with Henry Heard’s walkoff double in the ninth verus Hofstra! They will face Lehigh after the Mountain Hawks held off a furious five run rally by Hofstra in the bottom of the seventh that ultimately came up just short.

District II: 4-seed Craven CC completed their Cinderella run as they became the first team to punch their ticket to Butler for the World Series! The Panthers defeated Richmond in the championship 6-4 after the Spiders fought through the losers bracket with two wins in the morning.

District III: The Saginaw Valley bats powered the Cardinals out of the loser’s bracket with a 10-6 win over Carnegie Mellon and then a 13-3 onslaught of conference rival John Carroll. They will face Robert Morris in the championship tomorrow.

District IV: Winona State defeated UW – Stevens Point in the winners bracket by a score of 10-5 but the Pointers will have their chance at revenge tomorrow in the championship after defeating DePaul in the losers bracket.
