#3 John Carroll capped off a historic weekend at the NCBA Division III World Series on Sunday morning, defeating #1 Adrian College 8-3 to secure the program’s first national championship. The Blue Streaks finished the tournament undefeated and accomplished the feat in just their second year as members of the NCBA. Evan Beiter earned Player of the Game honors after a dominant all-around performance, going 2-for-2 with a triple, double, walk, two RBIs, and a run scored while also recording the final three outs on the mound with a strikeout to seal the title. John Carroll’s championship run was powered by timely hitting, strong pitching, and a complete team effort throughout the weekend at Pullman Park.
